Established in 1950 as DAIKIN MANUFACTURING Co., Ltd. It changed its name to EXEDY Globalparts Corporation in 1995. It currently has 33 production plants and sales points at global level; with more than 13000 employees.

EXEDY, is a specialist in the transmission of the engine torque, for light vehicles, SUV, vans, motorcycles, heavy equipment; for manual transmissions M/T (discs, covers, flywheels and bearings), and for automatic transmissions A/T (torque converters, wed friction discs, clutch module assemblies, transmission bands, separator plates, flywheels, lock-up clutch and synchronizers).

EXEDY is Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for A/T and M/T, for some Japanese brands such as: HONDA, SUBARU, TOYOTA, NISSAN, MITSUBISHI, MAZDA, DAIHATSU, HINO, ISUZU, and MITSUBISHI-FUSO.

EXEDY is also OE in Europe for the following brands: Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and VW, in automatic transmissions.
